About the Staff

Dr. Dominick Mirando, Chiropractor: Dr. Mirando is a graduate of Sherman Chiropractic College in Spartanburg, SC and has been practicing since 2001. He is an advocate of family based, heath focused chiropractic care and treats patients 6 months old and up. He uses multiple chiropractic techniques including Gonstead, diversified upper cervical, Pierce, Thompson, and applied kinesiology. He is also certified in extremity adjusting, sports injuries, and treating expectant mothers. In addition to his active practice, Dr. Mirando is vice-president of the D.C. Chiropractic Association and is an assistant coach for his son's wrestling team. He resides on the eastern shore of Maryland with his wife and two children.

Scott Holland, Office Manager: Scott has been working with Chiropractors and chiropractic patients for over 15 years. He began this journey with Dr. Larry Brown at DuPont Circle Chiropractic and joined the Mirando Chiropractic Center staff in 2007. He brings a wealth of experience in patient relations and insurance problem resolution. Prior to working in chiropractic, Scott worked in the tax and accounting field for many years. He is also a professional musician.

Ama Powell, Massage Therapist - Administrative Assistant: Ama Powell grew up in Washington, D.C. and has been practicing since 2005. Ama specializes in Swedish massage, deep tissue work, trigger point therapy, sports massage, and aromatherapy. In her five years of practice she has worked with senior citizens, persons with disabilities, and professional athletes. She provides a pleasant and enjoyable customized massage experience geared to each patient's particular goals and needs.

Ama's philosophy of practice is that massage therapy promotes self-healing and treats your body as a whole. Not only does it promote relaxation and a good sense of well-being, it is a very effective way to pursue and reach overall wellness, naturally. It should be a part of everyone's regular health regimen for major preventative health, rehabilitative, and body maintenance benefits.

Dan Bradley - Massage Therapist: Dan Bradley has been practicing since 2003. Dan specializes in deep tissue work and sports massage and is certified to practice A.R.T. (Active Release Techniques). Dan is a sports enthusiast and whenever possible contributes his skills to golf tournaments, tennis tournaments, and Ironman competitions.
